Fall '09- Rocket launch - Maggie Valley

After a boring ride through Asheville traffic we reached the Blue Ridge Parkway for our scenic ride back to base camp. The road was great, the weather was holding out, leaves were changing and the scenery was beautiful.

About 20 miles away from base camp we ran into a little rain Approx 10 minutes tops and of course no trip is complete without at least 1 mishap our happened about 20 miles from camp Wild Rooster inadvertently left the pavement and lost control of the rooster mobile. We were able to get him back on the road with no injuries to him and only a few cosmetic problems with the bike. A special thanks goes out to all that assisted in the rescue mission.

yeah my hip and thumb still hurt but in the end it was well worth the ride and all to meet everyone we had a great time

And last but not least the jaunt to my Sister's was uneventful hovering around 4200rpm after Columbia SC to Summerville. My sis never passed up a chance to hop on ole Find-A-Flat II once I got back. She had a good time and says hi to all she met and same for me. I got in yesterday after spending time with family and friends in SC. Glad everyone made it back safe and somewhat sound. Great job Katie and Steve!!! Bravo!
