i was crossong the hoover dam today (always a scenic ride thru the canyon and across the dam) and was forced to sit in stop and go traffic for what seemed like an hour, both ways. you know, the nasty move a foot forward at a time kinda traffic :x **** those pedestrian tourists, everybody go home :x
my concern was over heating the engine. any of you guys think i have to worry about engine damage :?: no warning lights flashed, but i'm not sure if a hot engine would flash a light anyway.
i'm running 10w40 amsoil, and oem coolant

No, I wouldn't be too worried about it, but sometimes I feel the same way when I'm stuck in traffic. You know, when my motor gets hot like that my
idle actually goes up to about 1200 rpms from about 800 and stays there until it cools down a little. Some day I'll look into it. :?
