My understanding from Tom (TuneECU Tom) and he from Alain. Was that the tunes we see are really only a part of the whole ECU content.
For this reason I'm not entirely sure that many of the maps out there are necessarily as good as they may at first seem. Triumph has made changes (I'm told) in other areas of the ECU. This is reflected in the substitution of non-modified OEM maps for newer versions with different base map numbers.
I'm not questioning the TUNING work. But wonder if maybe the part should be carried across into newer OEM base tunes. Honestly I do not know. But I did read that the newer OEM maps have other beneficial differences.
