Hi All! I cleaned my bike off last night and used a light hose to wash off the suds and -Hey Presto -the engine management light came on. Checked the oil and water and rode home 20 miles and back this morning and its still on. I thought whatever I wet would have dried by now. -Can anyone save me a trip to the dealers?
Thanks for any input.

Obviously the light is signalling a serious protein deficiency - lack of bugs. Even though the owner's manual doesn't mention the need for protein, the best way for bike and rider to get the most out of the Triumph Ownership Experience is to constantly feed the front of the machine with a fresh supply of decaying insects.

A lack of bugs suggests to not only the engine management system, but also to any H-D or BMW riders, that "all show and no go" may be a possibility for the Triumph. Dead insects can keep you from the ravages of motorcycle protein starvation and any misinterpretation by the EMS or other non-Triumph personnel that this is a complete fallacy.

Either that, or you got something wet and it's still pissed off.

Thanks JDuke of Georgia! YOUR response was very helpful, and the light has now gone out. -And there ain't no shortage of bugs down England's hedge lined country lanes, I can assure Gorge Rider. Rode coast-to-coast (not far, actually) last weekend, and Solway Firth down Cumbrian coast to Liverpool weekend before. -methinks I do protest a little TOO much and will shut up.
I hope Earl stayed off your doorstep JD. I am in Sarasota from next Thurs till 30th so reckon I've missed all the guesswork on that one.
-Have a good weekend, All!
