Eastern Rally July 2026

Sr80, oh yeah... I remember that one. I don't think it was named on the map when I did it. It's a "fantastic ride!" if not for the gravel, potholes, lack of guardrails, sheer fatal drops to the right, steep mountain wall to the left, and single lanes around super tight twisties. An oncoming pickup truck doing their usual lane straddle (if there even is a lane and a half) coming around a turn gives you two choices- head on, or drive off the cliff. It says "expert only," but I think that has nothing to do with it. More like Russian Roulette. Been there done that!

Love it. I did I not see gravel or pot holes. The north side has been improved it seems. Other that that the description is perfect. No guard rails and sheer fatal drops offs for sue on a single lane. So use gravity to assist. Face it up hill and use that Rocket torque for a second or three if open enough. Braking is better uphill. Be prepared for a slow down or stop, just don’t go off road or hit a head on, no worries mate. I agree with experienced or expert on mountain roads. It scared Sandy and she don’t want no more. I did it twice on an Indian Challenger twice last year. It is a technical ride for sure.

I remember the ride in Kentucky years ago, going through the hills with nothing on the right to keep you from going over the edge, and wondering what kind of nut cases built these roads, then i see some locals coming down on their 4 wheeler with a trailer, and it all made sense at that moment. **** the moonshine and BBQ was good that weekend, best i have ever had in my life
That’s the Devils Triangle we did and it was a good time. That event was the first time I met the group.
