drop in k&n

If you intend to keep it and just clean and re-oil it as needed instead of buying a new filter each time. I do run a drop in K&N, which I've had for years, but I don't really notice a difference. It has been nice to just clean, re-oil and drop in though.

is the drop in k&n filter for the factory air box worth getting?

Just a thought ..
If you intend doing any power mods go with the K&N triple set up for the extra $40 will make a hell of a difference were as the under seat filter system and plumbing is restrictive..

wont i need to remap it to do the triple filters?

Don't think so.. after all the air can only go in to the motor at the same rate as it is going out though the exhaust so nothing is changing untill you open up the exhaust with a Cat eliminator, TORs or Stain Tunes.
Then the AFR will need to be changed by re mapping.

I was suggesting that if you mod later you are going to wasted you cash on the under seat filter.

the cat has been removed and different exhaust has been put on

OK then you may need a re map depends what map is in the ECU now.
If you add the triples you are goin to be surpised I think

I take it these mods were on the bike when you bought it ?
What exhaust is fitted ..TORS, Staintune, D&D ?

Hanso has some nice maps if you speak to him softly he will help you

I just received my under-claw K&N filters from Flip yesterday. Got them here (Aus) for nearly half what they'd have cost locally. Flip was good to do buisness with.
