Drive shaft spline lube

Looks like you might be onto something , Kev. I mean one of them is explicitly described as spline grease.

I'll hold a definitive opinion for those more qualified than I, however.

Try to find what the moly content of these products is.
MOLYSLIP AS60 Anti-Scuff Paste is a gelled lubricating oil, containing 60% molybdenum disulphide, forming a soft paste. It also contains rust and corrosion inhibitors.

Edited - sorry @Fingers was a bit quick - The Castrol IS NOT MOS2 based. The name was a bit of a give away - White suggests ZINC OXIDE - and is.

Ordered. I'll report back when it arrives.

Yesterday I finally ordered a Can of Loctite LB 8012 Moly Paste 65% Molybdenum from Brammer UK (used to be BSL Ltd UK) 453.6 g tin.
It's much more than what I can use in a couple of years and expensive, but seems to be the correct moly content. £50

Well it arrived, looks suitably black and sticky and enough to last me a few years.

well mine was about £19 for 100g once you add post and VAT. So yours is cheaper per gram but then again It'll take me years to use 100g let alone half a litre ...
