Here are some of the sketches I've drawn up so far. I plan to install both waterproof fans and seat heating elements in the new seat, as shown on the attached diagram. I also plan to have the custom seat guys cut a hole in the foam so that I can install a rider's backrest in the future. I think what I'm planning mostly makes sense, and I'd like to see what all you seasoned riders think of both the aesthetic and functional designs of what I've drawn up. I'm trying to keep it somewhat classic looking, at least in terms of shapes and quilting. Some designs show this more than others.
For reference, the spotted areas are perforated vinyl (to allow for air flow), the brown is leather dyed to match the existing leather on the bike, and the off-white areas are a vinyl that matches the cream color on the tank of my 2-tone 08 R3T
