I went with the Triumph long haul touring seat with backrest, just did the RAA trip 3548 miles no complaints. Passenger can go 2-3 tank fulls before she had enough.

Welcome Bill from another Aussie. I'm in the process of getting a long haul touring seat for my Roadster. I've been using a borrowed classic seat that is the most comfortable seat I've tried. From what I've been able to find out the long haul touring is the same seat with the provision for a riders backrest but is 1/3 the price of a classic seat.
