Cutting out the bling

Gradually getting rid of the bling on the Rocket, black wheels, radiator shrouds, forks and oil tank trim so far, too much chrome, Triumph should bring out a model with no chrome or exposed alloy like the HD Nightshift or whatever its called !!

Sports screen, classic bars, Raask adjustable peg kit, Givi cases and Easybrackets, Gipro TRE, low gel seat, cat bypass, 11.5" 440 Progressives, black paint.

did you scuff your chrome, or just paint over it? it looks good so far. It would look real good with that motor done in black. xhdskip

Will have to get mine done some day.

Rubbed the "chrome" down on the shrouds, dont think its real chrome on the plastic anyway, my next bike will be a black engine model.

I'm sure I have some blacked out fork protectors wrapped up in the garage somewhere. Replaced them with the c/f ones. Do you want me to look them out for you? I'd swap them for your chromed ones if you want them.

Painted by the first owner, who did that for a profession.

Other stuff on my bike has had the same treatment, and is still OK 3 years on, so whatever it is, it's durable.

Let me have a search tomorrow, and I'll pm you with a condition report when I find them.

I had the metal chrome bits powder coated black for next to no money - including bear claw, fork protectors, outriggers, etc. still got flyscreen brackets and forks to do.
