2011 Rocket lll touring
I 'm looking to buy a. cruise control for my 2010 Rocket lll touring. I live in Simi Valley in southern calif. I was hoping someone might know where I could get it installed. I have been looking on line at the MC cruise site in Australia . I haven't been able to talk to them yet . Maybe next week .
 
I have a kaoko throttle lock if your interested it replaces stock bar end

Earthquake ; Thanks for the offer, but I have one already. My buddy had the triumph dealer in Las Vegas install a mccruise unit years ago and it works great. I found them on line but I need to determine whether I can install it myself or if I can find someone to do it for me.
 
Fall River Massachusetts $100 plus shipping and I’m just not a fan of any kind of cruise control it came with my bike
 
very cheap, very easy. it isn't any better than any of the other throttle locks out there, but it can be installed in minutes. There's several variants of this that use the brake lever for leverage to hold the throttle and I used one for highway riding on my SDR. While\ they use the front brake lever they don't interfere with it and it's small and simple enough to adjust with 1 hand once installed.

Any halfway decent mechanic should be able to install that. I've been thinking for years about doing it myself but haven't been able to tour much anyway these past couple of years because reasons.

A real cruise is always vastly preferable to a throttle clamp. The instant you touch a brake with a real cruise, it disengages, even if it's the rear brake. It also adjust for hills and you can tweak the speed up and down with more precision. I'm not personally a fan of clamps, I just use a throttle boss. Similar effect but at least if you release the throttle grip, the throttle goes to zero.
 
Brakeaway disengages the instant you touch the brake or throttle, it's obviously not the same as true cruise control, but I'm pretty happy with it, I think it's the best of the lot

The best and safest one on the market IMHO. It does require resizing the shoulder on the stock grip slightly, but that can be done with a little ingenuity. I might have had to modify the bracket/tab for the front brake release, but I can't recall as it was a long time ago.
