Coolant changed but perplexed.

Hey bud there is also a plug on top of the thermostat housing to let air out if you crack it loose and take it out (watching not to drop the sealing washer) you might get a little more out. Plus raise the back of the bike up with a jack to make sure you get all of it out of the liner cavity. I will get a picture attached to this reply after me old ass gets out of the whirl pool!!!!!!!!!

Ok me bones have been jump started heres the picture of the plug which you need to remove to let air escape as your filling it up. Which will help as you drain her. Like I stated the engine is lower in th eback so coolant will remain unless you jack the rear up first.

Hope this helps

What color is engine ice ? What ever is in mine is blue. I want to change mine before riding season and don't want to mix things that don't play well together !

Thanks warp will do, my bird went straight for the coolant for a drink and I grabed him just in time. This engine ice is not supposed to be toxic but I wont put it to the test and chug some down. Oh its rather a pretty blue colour. That top drain bolt for the water pump does nothing not even a drop escapes.

put a pan under the water pump loosen the other to screws about 4 to 6 turns and stick a screwdriver in the slot lower right side as you face it wigler the front cover out a little and the stuff will come out.
