Hey all - had joined a year + ago, but had to recently re-join.

Purchased in March of 2006, the Rocket III is the second street bike I've owned. I "graduated" from a 1982 Honda 900 CBC that I bought new in 1983. In the three years that I've owned the Rocket - I've ridden more miles (22,000+) than I did with the Honda over 24 years.

Attached is a shot of the Cardinal beast on Colorado's Million Dollar Highway.

Hi and welcome back. I had my Roc on that same highway last May, except I renamed it the Million Pot Hole Highway. If all goes as planned I will be in Colorado in about 10 days:) We are headed to Salida.

Re-welcome back. Sounds like you've put some miles on her, wish I could do the same.

Ride safe,

Dennis

Been a while since I was out there. Welcome to the house that Rockets built. This time stay a while. Red is my fav color too.

... one more before diving into rest of the forums on a regular basis

Appreciate all the replies - the picture was taken last July (2008) in Silverton, CO area. Rode over new black-top laid down over most of it from Ouray. Then on to Durango on aging pavement.

'Will look for the "memorable rides" forum to document just finished and cut short (due to back tire rubber loss) 1000+ 4 day trip.

Re - snuffcityrider in Salida area - I've been through their many times - be sure to hit Hiway 50 from Canon City up the Arkansas River. There are some GREAT loops to be had in the area - twisty :)D) and non.

They were resurfacing the highway between Durango and Silverton while I was there. I figured I was riding over the winters snow plow damage and that the road would be in great shape in short order. Thanks for the tip on Hwy 50.
