has anybody coated exhaust pipes before? ceramic or other type to reduce heat?

looked at a few web pages thinking of getting the used Jardines I bought coated wanted to know pros cons?

prefer to find somewhere in Georgia but no luck so far, but a few shops in TN.

figured since I got the pipes at a good price I might be able to afford to spruce them up and maybe make the missus happy with some cooler pipes to boot ( course some added performance never hurts)

Your Jardine header is already ceramic coated...... not sure if they coated the inside of the Jardine header though because I did not install mine myself.
To answer your question though.... I have had several headers coated by jet-hot.com They did a few headers for me back when I raced ATV's. There really isnt any con that I can think of w/ ceramic coating. It's great stuff. It cools down the header alot and increases the flow rate if the inside is also done...... All the information you need about ceramic coating can be found on that website too....... good luck.........

ok great, and Yes I know that the header on the Jardine is already coated, but again Mine came used and have some signs of usage that I think I can cover with a good coating. Half tempted to strip and do myself but figure it might actually look good to have them coated entirely, some fo the finishes look sharp

Thank you, you gave me a solution to a paint my bike flat black all around, Plastidip and flameproof for the exhaust. Does the ceramic paint help avoid burns and overall heat around my legs, and more or less by how much? I am about to do the same thing on a dirt bike exhaust. I checked out cycle solutions online, and if you think I'm about to pay 14 bones for a heat reduction package, you should probably rethink who the moron is. Looks good, I'm trying to decide between wrapping and painting my pipes, look how to spray at bestnetreview.
