My clutch switch starting messing up last week when i went to Texas to visit Ken.
Second time in a yeas and a half, anybody else with this problem and possible better solutions?:)

Can you be more specific about the problem/symptoms? I have not had any issues with the clutch switch but would like to know what symptoms to be on the lookout for. Thanks

Mine has been acting up for over two years. I just push the wire by the level and is good for a few months?? I just think that the plastic isn't holding the switch very well any more. Just one of a few things that need a little TLC.

The simptoms are pretty simple, you try to start your bike and nothing happens, no click, nothing, your dash lights and headlight all work, but your bike will not do anyhing when you push the button with the clutch lever pulled.
What i found out is that sometimes playing with the clutch in and out you while you have the start button pressed you will find contact somewhere as you easily let the clutch out:)

Have not had the trouble with triumph but have had switches on Suzuki be very aggravating have taken them apart cleaned put a little more tension on Springs and put back together you might be able to do the same with triumph pull out some of the electronic wizard I've got confidence in you

I've never had clutch switch issues on the rocket but as with any electrical switch or connection a small bit of dielectric grease on the contacts will prevent corrosion and promote quality contact. just a thought

..hey Lupe, who's that ugly guy with the pretty lady in your avatar?.........:p.........oh, and maybe try cleaning the contacts with electrical contact cleaner?...

Thanks for the info - will be adding this to my "watch list". :)

My bike has been doing that for years, I just pump the clutch a few times and it eventually starts. Same with the kickstand switch. Cleaning and greasing with dielectric grease will fix it but why kill the suspense of not knowing if your bike is going to start way out in the middle of nowhere?
