you are not going to solve problems by changing the clutch switch unless the switch is shorted out. and you can check that by trying to start bike with out pulling clutch if bike starts w/o pulling in clutch lever then clutch switch is shorted and will cause motor problems.
a lot of guys have removed the stepper motor and liked the way it worked i had problems mainly because the motor was not hot (when it got hot it just started gaining rpms ) so i reinstalled it and had to give it throttle till it warmed up. of coarse it works great when warm.
spray throttle linkage to clean and unstick throttles especially at front. while cleaning do wot and let throttle fly shut.
