Clutch is Heavy/Straining...

It feels heavy because you’re probably accustomed to a hydro clutch or a very light cable clutch suited to a small motor.

I too needed a adjustment period of my left hand. Your left hand will get stronger and it won’t bother you in time.

When upgrading springs to double the pressure it was another notch up the heavy chain, so another adjustment period of my left hand. These days it doesn’t bother me, but, I also don’t ride the friction zone or sit still with the clutch pulled for long periods of time.

I've always thought the R3 had a very light clutch pull. Wayyyy easier than my Electra glide. It's even easier than the V-rod I had, and that was a hydraulic clutch.

I feel the same way a bit. I am getting use to it, and it's getting easier to ride.

I seldom stand still with my clutch in unless I know it's a short light or something is amiss. I always felt it was just more wear a tear on something with the clutch. Some people feel that it is a requirement, but I prefer to keep an eye on things and if need be..pull, pop, and go.

Most times even if you we're in gear you couldn't react fast enough by the time you became aware your in a situation.

Gotta be careful lubricating cables. Some have a coating, Teflon, plastic ??? that falls apart with some lubricants, and will freeze up in the cable housing.

yes u could be stopped and a deer come over and beat the $hit out of you before u can pop the clutch

well being me i just had to say that.

I stay in gear while stopped at a light. One foot down and keep a eye open by checking the mirrors. Saved my butt more than once. Clutches can be replaced. Rocket X's can't.
