Clutch and output shaft issues.

I liked the MTC to no longer than I had the bike and will use them in the new one as well with the springs

Were you using the Barnett with a stock motor or with a highly modified one?
No I never used them as I have heard to many compliaints. I also was given the chance to run the first prototypes of the MTC fibers and like them so much I would not think of using any others. I have put a lot of strain on them and they perform excellent. If you go their route you leave the anti judder spring and seatout of the kit which gives you full fiber contact all the way thru. I have run them now for 30,000 miles with the blower and 10,000 miles of which was the blower and Carpenter goodies.

I just want it reliable with a stock motor with a mild tune, this is more or less my touring bike but I still ride it aggressively. I am laid off right now and don't have a ton of money to throw at it so like I said in my other post I will pull it apart soon and see if I can find anything that jumps out at me. The stock clutch may have a lot of life left in it and if it does maybe I'll just replace the springs.

ROCKED MINE BACK AND FORTH. IN 1ST ABOUT TWO or three inches of travel on the bike. no metal clank of any kind.

when you take her apart if you have any worn fibers I am sure I have enough around here that I will never use to put a set together for you or at least replace the worn ones.

Thanks for the offer, I am sure it isn't totally worn I just figured if I am going to replace other pieces I should just do the clutch as well so I don't have to go back in there for a long time. I was going to do the Barnett because I have loved every one I have ever used in other bikes I've had and the price is good.

No problem CHuck I have them laying around I bet enough for two full sets so if you decide to go with OEM I do not need them the price is free just ley me know.

My bikes virtually stock engine wise .. I was told the Barnett plates/spring package wouldn't last long, that hasn't been the case. Got 125,000klms on my Rocket .. reckon easy 60 -70,000 of them have been with the Barnett parts.

The bearing went right after I bought it and it is supposed to have the update kit but since all I paid was $112 I wouldn't be surprised if they cut some corners.
