Silver Bullet

Dish Soap is also bad to use on painted surfaces were you wax, it strips it. People forget dish soap is also a de-greaser how do you think it gets all that rib grease off your wife’s nice dishes.
As for me I have used Simple green for as long as I can remember. I don't use it in its full concentrate but I do mix it on the strong side and clean my engine with it. It also takes off the road grim from my wheels and I have not had any problems (my wheels are not clear coated).
Simple green is also bio-degradable for any of you who are environmentally aware.

If you are really concerned just use Hog Spit a million HD riders can't be wrong:rolleyes:
But as for me 99% of the time I use all Maguires products, from the synthetic wax to the wheel cleaner. How ever, I keep meaning to try that glass wax from Honda that a few captions have raved about but I keep forgetting the name (hint, hint, if anyone knows).

Short of it is diluted to the instructions simple green is safe. But in saying that you should always stick to a cleaner made for paint to reduce the chances of removing that nice wax layer you have labored so hard to put down.

wilburt-t, Do you know the name of this all purpose cleaner? Oh I also herd that 10w40 cleans chrome nice has any one herd of that?

I was looking for the Honda Pro. Glare Polish that Her3tic talked about. It turned out to be 25 bucks a bottle. The guy behind the counter recommended the spray cleaner/polish. I love this stuff.

Thanks you guys for the advice I would just hate to use a product just to save money and in the long run need a new paint job.
The same people even told me WD-40 is great for chrome makes your chrome like glass. I'll get the product that you guys are saying I always say the more you ask the less mistakes you make but you most likely learn the best when you make the mistake your self, but not on my Rocket:) Thanks
