The check Engine light came on this morning while riding to work :(
I'm sure it has something to do with the adjustments made by the dealer last weekend to adresse the stalling issue... It seemed like it was running ok though, but now I'm not sure if I should ride it or not.

I have sent the service dept an Email requesting they come pick up the bike since they are over an hrs ride from me, Kinda curious on how they are gonna respond......
I've had more trouble with this bike in 3 weeks than I had with my R3T in 6 years!

It's the touring getting back at ya for leaving it for a roadster should of stayed with the touring:eek:

I hope all is ok with it had to bust your chops :D trader :p

Jim, dont worry that much about it, the best time to have problems is when the bike is under warranty. I wod ride to the dealer and let rhem fix it for you

Probably nothing to be concerned about. I know it's frustrating and a bit of an inconvenience, but it can be fixed. Patience...

Of course if I were in you're shoes, I'd be @#!! Pissed. You just got the **** bike back. :)

hi
around arizona auto zone parts store will read obd II codes for free. you might have to show them where the connector is. if you can get the number i can research it for you. sometimes they have a print out that says what it is. i hope that it is something simple.

Some of you may remember the douchebag Harley fag at my work that called my Touring a Harley wannabe......

Well he's got the last laugh cuz the dealer is sending a trailer for my bike, and its parked right in front of that F***ers office.

Oh man I'm never gonna hear the end of this....

Ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa!!!!!
I mean, sorry about your problems:eek:

This morning after I took the windshield off, and I was ready to go, I turned the key on and immediately heard what I assume is the fuel pump, the the normal clicking noise and the sweep of the gauges, all normal sounds that I was used to hearing for 5+ years on my Touring.
Except this morning the clicking didn't stop after a few clicks like normal, it kept going, I turned the key off and on and it did it again.

I tried again only this time I started then stopped the bike. After that it seemed fine. Two miles down the road the check engine light came on.

Does anyone know what the clicking sounds are that come from the front of the bike when you turn the key on? Maybe relays? Or injectors?

I would never insinuate that a R3 Touring is a HD wannabe, but this is kind of funny. :)

Used to recieve a lot of comments about my dirty bug splattered bikes from HD wannabes. I'd always say I'd rather be riding my bike than washing it. Now my bikes were mostly well kept and shiny except for the front. Guessing you never see you're "buddy's" HD seriously splattered with bugs.
