My check engine light is on. I tried the 12 minute tune deal but that didn't correct anything.

Under a load it feels like it starves for gas, then picks back up, then starves again. If you hold the throttle at a certain point it will do this over and over.

It idles fine.

Only does it at certain throttle postions. Feels like a fuel delivery issue.

Filter?
TPS?
OS?

any other Ideas?

I do have a PC cable but I never did get the tuneboy software, so I dont have a way to diagnose the codes.

2006 R3 classic with Boostisgood turbo.

Is the turbo a new addition .as your tune may be wrong. Starving a Turbo would not be a good thing i would think. No or low fuel would cause detonation ,and a burnt up engine.JMO

Peter, has a point about the turbo. Did the kit come with a new base map? how about larger injectors? Has the fuel pump been changed or stock? What boost pressure are you running? Are you using a map sensor or just the Ftables? If you have not installed another turbo base map you will be running lean especially under boost. What are you using to monitor fueling during the spool up of the turbo a PCV perhaps? If you do not take care of the problem you will break the motor for sure. My guess from reading your post you had someone else install the turbo?

Lets us know what you have and what you have done to her kit wise.

The turbo was installed on the bike before I bought it nearly 4 years ago. It is not a new addition. It has been running great. The turbo kit is a boostisgood turbo. Has it's own piggy back computer similar to a power commander. The bike was dyno'd then the computer sent back to the turbo manufacturer for remapping. The boost gage report 8-10 lbs of boost, which has been normal since I have owned it.

The issue happens even when the turbo is not spooling up. I don't feel like it's related to the turbo or the mapping at all.

here's an old promo picture of my bike showing the turbo.

I am with IAN you need to plug into the ecu and read the codes either with tune boy or tune ecu. Then we can go from there.
