Cat Bypass question

I just purchased a Cat Bypass (manifold upgrade kit) for my 06 Rocket Classic. I have the TORS exhaust and am running the dealer-installed Triumph TORS tune...so when I install the Cat bypass, will I need to have the bike re-tuned again, or will the TORS tune be sufficient? The bike has no other mods such as K&N's ...(yet). Thanks.

I don't recall the tune number but there is a separate Triumph tune available when you install the cat bypass. You are opening up the exhaust quite a bit some a new tune would be in order.

Get TuneECU and a $20 cable and upload the tune yourself. easy stuff to do.

While the catalytic converter is mostly 11 pounds of dead weight it also adds to the gas flow restriction. The bypass is an open set of tubes that adds zero restriction so the exhasut flow velocity change will require an adjustment of the fuel injection. The dealer tune for the TORs alone won't cover the bypass's effects on your fuel trim. So you need another tune.

The most important aspect is opening up the secondaries. A new tune is due. Hang on!
