The law of unintended consequences: I found with the RamAir mod that now air warmed by the engine flows under the seat, warming my buns. Looking forward to cooler weather for more reason than one.

I always thought that was one of the smartest features on the Rocket....pulling air through that channel under the seat helping to keep your seat cooler. On my Harley that engine heat would migrate up into the seat over time and it was like sitting on a hot frying pan. I would hate to lose that feature with the warm summer we have been having. Never an issue with the Rocket.
It would be worth a try but with my Tach, GIPro and Garmin GPS mount on the bar , that may not be an option. I really didn't want to take all that stuff off. What I need is a cable cluster extension. Time to put @DEcosse to work on that project. Lol

That would really suck! Perhaps a little painters tape on the most likely tank areas will take that out of the equation. I have enough of a problem with my jeans doing a little chafing on the sides of the tank...so far so good polishing it out, but it's like straddling a 50 gal drum.
Honest marks make no difference to me....like rubs from boots and jeans....if it's a museum piece, it never gets ridden. But ride it and clean it, and it will stay pretty but have an honestly obtained patina.
