Actually further to this, I was trying to work out how the plug had one flat side and one hex, as shown in the photo of the part itself
when on my sump plate I see hex on the inside and outside. It dawned on me that two plugs are used per hole, done up tight to each other with a tool each side. The diagram shows two lots of part 2 from this list

So how much did you wind in the one on the outside? If you went too far, the one inside could of popped out and be loose in the engine lower. Looking at mine it was well in so a turn or two shouldn't matter. Only way to really know is to remove the engine bottom plate and check. I'll have a check how far the external one is recessed.
