Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

If these guys are “seasoned” drag racers used to hitting a tree and you are not it’s going to be an up hill battle. You will need to hit the tree so practice , practice , practice . Remember , if you don’t go red sometimes you’re not trying .
Most important thing is to know when to get off the throttle and race another day.

Small update here, I've been back on the mapping and worked my way up to 80% throttle and near 8K rpm with very little pinging and AFRs are OKish.
Did a test pull the other night, got some beautiful cone-shaped jet flames out the exhausts from 7-8000rpm.
Also went from 50-90mph in 2.2 sec (which is about the same as my gen 1 Hayabusa already rolling in at 100% throttle).
This is rolling on with moderate aggression - i.e. taking 2.3 seconds to roll on from 20% throttle to 80%.
It was faster from 70-90 than it was 50-70mph,.
The knock detection is set to max sensitivity, and picked up an amber alert around 60 and pulled some timing to slow engine down too. Felt like the clutch or wheel was slipping.
Reckon it is putting down near 200 wheel by 7k at 80% throttle.

I still got another 20% throttle to go, and another 1000rpm, plus I've the ignition pulled well back to start safe and work my way in.

Soonest the dyno could fit me in is September 14th, so I'll probably be finished the map myself by then lol.

Sounds good, keep moving forward. Dyno would give you peace of mind and reassurance, plus you'd get to see the numbers climb.
 
Wow! I can’t wait to see the dyno numbers on that beast. My TQ starts to drop off at 51/2-6K will yours be spooled up and going higher?

I think 5.5-6k is where torque peaks on the Carpenter engines, but this has been stroked and supercharged so that might change that a little.
Time will tell I guess
 
How much boost are you throwing at it ?
It sounds like it is a true beast . Just watch the AF cause as you know you can run rich all day but lean only once .

As much as the charger will make... Haven't maxed out yet so don't know. Was hitting 22psi absolute at 80% throttle and 8000rpm so about 8psi boost so far.
There's some T2 impeller upgrade available for these so might go there next but will see how it goes as is.

Ive the ignition pulled back a bit for safety, and fuelling generously so as i work up through the map it's starting on the rich side and i make adjustment to lean it a bit. Rather than the other way round.

I iron out the AFR first and then start adding timing back in.
 
Wow, 9.3 second or better on a big heavy bike is aiming well up. Good luck, what the other guys said re practice. Maybe get a couple sets of clutch plates in the spares box. 22 psi boost at 8000 will be pretty much the same at 100% throttle and 80% as the boost is going around the throttle plate anyway. Probably 25 psi at 8500 rpm? You'd have to be thinking 350 hp? Maybe more. Love it . Good luck with the dyno work sir.
 
Back when building it and doing calculations on the back of a pack of fags, I'd guesstimated a max 1 bar / 14psi boost. Seeing 8psi at 8000rpm I'd hope it climbs another 3-5 by 9000rpm.
The boost climbs very quickly at the higher revs.
Boost gauge on the handlebar for indication, it shows 12psi at 8000rpm i think while the MAP sees 8psi.
Due to difference in location; the boost gauge sensor is on the boost pipe that crosses over the engine (so is well upstream of the intake manifold), whereas the MAP is seeing what pressure is south of the throttle butterflies.
So still a little held back by the throttle I think.
Don't want to get my hopes up about the power, Rotrex list the C30-94 as maxing out at 435hp so would like to get close to that. If it made 350 at the wheel that wouldn't be miles off it.
