Awhile back there was a post on here where someone had the dimensions of the tool you use to check your tensioner to see if you need the extra spacer. I can't seem to find the post again. Anybody remember where it is ?

I found it ! I'm not helpless after all ! According to the measurements I need the spacer for my cam chain tensioner. Has anyone ever bought the spacer and measured it ?
hey Fred can you point out the link or send me the measurements. I need to check mine as withthe new cain I might have to loose the spacer for a little while. I got everything in withthe spacer but would like to double check to make sure.

In a nutshell, if the plunger is more than 16mm in from the surface of the tensioner body (where the copper washer sits) you need the spacer. You don't happen the measurements for the spacer do you ? I know they are cheap but my dealer is over a hundred miles away. They will mail me stuff for $10.00 extra. Whadda deal !
I will see if I can fish mine out today and measure it as you could have a machinist whip you one out even if he has to just face down a dowel pin. I should have measured the **** think before I dailed up the cams but I bet I can get it out. I let you know.
