I’ve been riding a little here and there but last weekend I found the TFC would not start. The TFT comes on but no fuel pump primer or turning of the starter, nothing. I was going to take it in today on a trailer but came down with a virus that may be Covid. I’m truly stuck in the cabin with a fever. Next weekend I’ll get it all done, no worries just a delay.
Just a week of ice and freezing temps is enough for me. I don't see how you guys up north stand it. Monday looks to be 70f so time to bust the cabin fever and zip up. Guess the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT will be on call since the new Rocket 3GT is still in the shop going on four months now. Fuel up 6.1 gallons of pure fire.
Yesterday started off cold. Turned out good during the ride. Most of the time it was 43 to 47 degrees. Very sunny with clear blue sky. On final leg going home it reached 52. Very nice. Glad we went riding yesterday. Rain today. But surprisingly at 11 am it is 44 degrees.
No free time to ride even though the weather was great here today.
I could here that there were quite a few bikes out there today. I could hear the exhaust sounds of them in the distance as they went through the gears up and down through the hills, but we were working hard felling the trees that pushed our wall down over the Christmas period.
That's what usually happens around here. It always seems like a race to get everything in shape after the worst of the winter, before the springtime throws more work your way.
Once you get that under control, the road salt is usually gone and the temperature is better for finally getting out on the bike.....can't wait
I took the battery out and had it tested, its good. Put in back in all tight and checked all the fuses in the box next to the battery and still nothing. It's off to the shop on friday.
