No i stand corrected they have a different settings for the Carpenter head bolts .
40.922 is the service limit of the crank jounal.
The plasti gauge will tell you if you have a clearance in the correct range for the bearing you select.
you dont have to follow what they say if you have your own idears on building an engine
are they new rings and are the gaps correct I would use new rings but its up to you
