One day we discovered our horn cover broke and we are not even sure how it happened. The thing is cheap plastic and quite brittle, so it does not take much. We used a bit of J Bond Weld and some light metal pieces to repair the thing. It has worked so far.
Wind screens are a necessary evil for us because we are old and tire easily with the wind pushing against our upper torso. Once or twice a year we get to thinking that it does not look good, convince ourself we can ride without it, and we remove it. We then go out for a ride for a couple of hours, grinning when we leave. Upon our return home, we reluctantly put the screen back where it was. In our case, function must trump form.
We understand that certain species of grasshoppers are actually good to eat, properly prepared. We have never (yet) been hungry enough to try any (intentionally).
We trudge on.
