The rear pegs on the R3 are cheapie trash and need to be replaced. What solutions do you guys suggest?

Yep, good choice.
I actually have a nice set of Kury pegs somewhere in my VTX garage that I pulled when I had my custom skull-mandible pegs made for the VTX. I know they are in some box or under some cover....when the weather warms up I'll do an extensive recon.
