Been looking for a new bike

The current Diavel is a beast, could barely hang on, but it's pretty cramped too and I'm only 6' tall

That is why I got the X Diavel. It has the adjustable footpegs and several handlebar options. Not to mention there are quite a few seat options as well to customize the fit of the bike. They typically dyno at least 145 hp at the wheel and weigh 545 pounds wet (247kg) and you have a pretty good power to weight ratio. All the rider modes/aids along with the launch control are just icing on the cake. Sort of like the Pagniale (with a price to match unfortunately) who want a pretty intense riding experience but aren't built like a jockey any more.

The Rocket is just more raw and some days that is what I am really in the mood for. Other days is a bit anachronistic. For what it is, I think Triumph really got it right. I do wish they had left a bit more best in it out of the box. Have it close to 180 or so out of the factory. Dial up the handling a bit while they are at it. Unmuffle the motor a bit more would be great. It has such an amazing sound but so muted. At least all of these things can be addressed aftermarket since the basic goodness is there.

Anyway will be interesting to see Sonny's reaction when he finally gets the bike and finally can open it up after break-in. Getting through the first 600 miles is like having a fine Italian woman on a date that you can't do anything more than hold her hand...

Nice bike...but let me do the math..!! Your 60 now so if your lucky you'll have about 5 years to enjoy it before rigormortis sets in after riding in that position. I went through the same transition in 2008 when I bought my Hyabusa. I loved that bike and the rush it gave me.Today I can't ride any long distances on the Busa without prying myself of it .:( Good memories is what life's all about enjoy the ride.;)

Ah but he will be so much slimmer - coz it will (if he's lucky) scare him sh*tless.
Ducatis are the Italian women you keep in an apartment somewhere - just for short but intense rides. The sort you would not take home to meet your parents several hours (or days) away.

The R3 is the ugly bird in the club that'll give you the best time

Real busy at work but hoping for a day off next week to go down and pick it up. Have to work this Saturday no way out of it.:(:(:(:(:(:(

Or if you can't call in sick, one of us here would be kind enough to ride it home for you. I'll even leave my XDiavel as collateral. :)
