Here's a post from me last winter - and I've had no problems with this battery since:
---------------------------
I found a battery called DEKA ETX20L. Here's a link to a place down the road from me where I got mine for $83 and you can read the basic specs (search online for more details):

http://www.batteryservice.com/products_ ... ber=ETX20L

I rode the bike yesterday in 2° F (feels like -15) and it cranked fine - turned over solidly 3 times and fired up. It's kept in an unheated garage and hadn't been started for 3 weeks (temps have been well below 0 F). I keep it on a 1.25amp battery tender. The advantage, as I see it, over the Odyssey is: I can use my Battery Tender Plus (I'd need to purchase a new charger for the Odyssey) and it's the exact dimensions of the OEM battery, so the toolkit still fits for those that use it. Also, I'm guessing it's lighter than the PC625, but can't confirm that - certainly smaller

Lastly, I asked Gary (G-Man) to check over the specs, and although he would definitely recommend the PC625, he thought this could be a viable alternative. So far, for me, so good

Deka batteries are made in PA
-----------------------
Hope this helps,

Oh, and sweet ride...

<are the stock touring batteries and the standard and classic batteries the same?>

Standard and Classic are for sure, but don't know about the Touring - someone on here must know, or call a dealer . . . if you trust em!

I used to have a guy at Clinton Cycles, but he's gone now...gotta see if the new guy is trustworthy.

Hey Fish,

BatteryMart.com out in Warrenton, Va has about the best prices on the PC625. Tonight's price is $91.45.

They are nearby and you should have the battery in a few days.

Thank Tdragger...sounds like 85-95 is about as good as I can do. Well, this may put a hold on the GPS now, but probably more important. Very helpful boys. Yeah, and just FYI, charged the stock batt w/ the Batt Tender Plus and started right up...she's a sensitive girl.
