Hi all, there seems to be a glunking sound coming from inside the bevel box when I run it in first. It seems to settle when I give it gas. There is oil in it, I checked. What are your experiences in this matter? I tried to upload a video. Apparently too big

Your best bet if you have audio/video is to upload it to Youtube and then link the Youtube video in the thread. A clunking sound isn't auspicious, could be a bad bearings, or a broken ring gear, and the list goes on. If you can elevate the rear wheel and turn the wheel by hand it might help narrow down where the sound is coming from.

Try this one

That worked. I assume the wheel does not move side to side by hand. Check your universal joint.
The wheel sounds great when I spin it. Also, no clunking spinning by hand. No side movement at all. It might be just me paranoid, first time shaft drive. Not sure what normal is.

Probably fine but the universal joint could have a bushing going out causing a 'clunk' when you initially put power to the driive shaft, which is why I suggested you also take a look there. If that checks out you're good to go.

Thanks. That's swing arm off to inspect?
