Hi all, well the bike is healed and i'm healed and off riding my rocket again! I'm planning a summer trip to AZ... from NYC... gonna take the Rt66 path as much as possible. I'm planning 5 days on the road, a couple there and then shipping the bike back to NYC. ( i can't afford much more time off... gotta pay those medical bills!) I"m really just doing the ride for the sake of doing a ride and getting out of NYC for a few days.

Any suggestions? places to see, eat, stop at. any of you guys live along the route? and , oh yeah, any suggestions for the Route?

cheers

That is great to hear!!

Here's one place I can recommend to eat.. The Rock Cafe in Stroud, Oklahoma.
The owner was the inspiration for the "Porsche" character in the movie Cars. They
have some great food.. I was going to post some pics of my Rocket there, but apparently my web page is blocked from here at work.. lol

Could you wait until next summer then I could go with ya. My service to society will be complete and will be a free man again from the bonds of probation. Have a great Trip girl and keep us updated. The last time I was on Rt 66 was in 57'.

a ride to the top of bear mountain in NY

here's a pic from one of my first rides of the season....

I'm jealous. You have a safe trip, keep an eye out for idiots on the road.

Great to have you have you back. Be careful and stay ahead of the Phase 6 lock down.

It may be well out of your way; but, Barber's Motorcycle Museum in Leeds Alabama is huge and well worth the admission and can take up to several hours to soak it all in. There are cycles dating back to the beginning of time and right up to the present, though I don't know that a Rocket III is on display.

Triumph of Buffalo may be on your way if you need a "quick fix" or other services.
We get many riders stopping by going East or West for the odd part or gear. Call if you need to. Have fun.
