Ride
2013 R3T
Hey there! Just wanted to say hello. I've been riding for almost 40 years now (riding since I was 6). Had my first "run -in" with a "cager" last year. Totaled my first VL1500. Didn't deter me any though. Had another in less than 30 days.
My wife and I are getting into longer rides and I want something that is more comfortable and won't have any trouble keeping up with the BMW in our group. Since I just can't completely give up the "cruiser" life style, I have been looking into the Rocket III. I liked it when it first came out. And now that they have a touring model...Well.
I'd really like to be on a R3T by the end of the month, (our 20th anniversary) for a weekend anniversary ride.
Looking forward to meeting some of you and maybe riding together, sharing stories and tech, and general chatting.
I hope this forum is as friendly as the Suzuki Forum!

It ain't "what" you ride, but "that" you ride!

I got my 2005 Rocket the first of May, and joined this forum on the third. I don't think you will be disappointed by either. Good luck with your Rocket.:)

Nothing wrong with a good Suzuki I road one for thirteen years before the Rocket I'd still have the GS if I could afford both.:(

Welcome to the forum. Have you done a test ride yet?

As far as this forum goes, everyone is friendly here, sometimes too friendly.:D So jump right in.

I think you will find the RIII-T quite capable and keep up with the beemer. Nice to have another sooner, as in"gonna get one sooner or later" log in to the site. :D I sure did before I got my 1st Rocket and have been here ever since. Took me a little longer to recoup from my little mishap but got the same exact model I totaled and have 5000 so far. Been raining here lately so getting cabin fever. Wecome

Super Size and Accessorize

I traded my 1500LC in for the rocket, it was a great bike. It lacked in suspension and accessories. there was tons of stuff from suzuki but it all looked like the rest of the 1500's, not many options. there is tons of varity out there for the rocket, as you can see here in the photo albums. You need to test ride and get the smile thing started:D

Got my Rocket about 3 weeks ago. I now realize I waited about 3 years too long to get it. That a lot of riding on a Rock I missed out on. You're gonna love it, and the Beemers will be the ones having trouble keeping up, lol. I used to ride a VMax...similar in pickup as the Rock, but the R3's torque at all ranges is crazy. Never felt anything like it.
