Ride
2014 Victory Vision Tour
Awwwww CRAP Part II

We took off this morning on what was supposed to be a 150 mile ride to a shop and return home. About 21 miles out, I made a wrong turn (rare :D) and Ms. W was having MP3 issues so I pulled into a Shell station where lo and behold there were three, count em, THREE Victory bikes parked and as I released the throttle, IN FIRST GEAR to make a slow u-turn after she got situated the Rocket Stalled? What? I looked at the kill switch, hadn't bumped it, press start button, engine starts right up, let out clutch, and dies again:eek::confused::eek:. Repeat all of the steps again, check kick stand, yep its up, let out clutch, dies again, start and rev the crap out of it all the while the Victory boys are watching. PISS, PISS,PISS:mad::eek::mad:. Pull it over, get off, start in neutral and it runs, drops out, then comes back on power and the guages swipe and I start it again. Three times of this _ _ _ t, and finally the Victory boys walk over, SMILING, dang it. They asked if we were okay and I said yes, and the first danged one said if you rode an American made bike like us and not that Austrian ride maybe you wouldn't have trouble. No I did not shoot this dumb ass, wanted to, really bad but I said, sir it's made in England and he said that's even worse..................yes he is still alive, prick. I thank God for the ability to reason now. Now bike is idling smoothly, they chat a little more( I quit listening) so I told Ms. W let's try to get out of here. Took off, quarter of a mile, pop goes the weasel, it quits again, pull off, re-start, turn around and head for home. Now it seems to be okay, running strong because now I am riding hard enough to sling Ms. W off the back :( but it runs fine, just freakin' fine all of the way home, up over 90 mph several times. Parked {IT} as I now call {IT} cause she left me standing and I really hate that. Never an issue until today.

The whole time I am thinking ignition switch? Got the H4 lamps and I just know I am burning up that danged switch during this episode.

Then I started it up again at home, no problem, put down kickstand and off she goes, raise stand, starts right up. WTH? I washed it yesterday and all I can figure is water got down into the kickstand kill switch and was arcing when we stopped and I did not have a hair dryer or the inclination at the time to seeif that was the problem, it crossed my mind but the ignition switch was yelling louder. Why would it wait till I got aound other bikes, fickle b _ _ _ h.

This was the one and only time that {IT} almost took a ride on a AAA rollback truck. Breaking in front of others really pissed me off. I know, it was my fault, not the bikes. Just had to vent. I want to find the A hole on the Vision and show him the rear of the bike going away now:mad:. Austrian? Really?

Sanity is a fleeting apparition. I do not wish the torment of mind on anyone. My Rocket is my only escape.

You're looking at it all wrong Josey.
Your girl was giving you the opportunity to show the vicy boys,
what a man rides, someday they MAY grow up.
Little bikes lend themselves to little minds.
Just look at the harley clique....
DUH,
whats better than a harley?
DUH............
small cc's, small mind....

I would be looking long and hard at the ignition switch, Triumph replaced (they gave me I replaced) the whole set up switch, seat assembly and petrol cap free of charge not bad as my bike was three years out off warranty.
You should have at the least rammed your boot up his arse, and what are you talking about putting the bike on a truck you were only 20miles from your house plus you had your wife with you why could she not push you home:confused:;):D

Polaris is a Minnesotan company.
Perhaps you're thinking of Bombardier and Ski Doo?
Florida mightn't be the right climate to know much about snowmobile companies. :D

You should have used it as an advantage. They would've been more willing to take you up on a race bet.
