That is an open but fused circuit to the battery to allow an Optimate battery charger connection I believe.I discovered that the "T socket" has permanent current. It's not good. I would like to have current only with the ignition on
I fitted it with the Triumph factory Euro std DIN plug outlet and a standard 12v cigarette lighter socket with cap on the RHS as well, like Longrider did. I had a little on/off volume knob on my RHS as well for the amplifier under the seat but have since stripped that out so maybe a toggle switch next for either the 12v outlet or to a relay for extra lights etc.
It would be easy and cool to wire up my air compressor which I keep under the seat and have a retractable air hose that came out and allowed you to flick the switch and pump up both tyres, turn off, push back hose and ride off.
