The 2001 adventurer uses the keihin cv carb , number I see listed is T1240670 .
Bear in mind the cv carb uses a rubber diaphragm to lift the slides . If you take em apart , make sure the diaphragm is perfectly seated before you screw on the carb tops !
Bike Bandit supply all parts for this carb .
Hope this helps ?

a lot of good info already.
will add if the carbs has a drain on them u can shut off fuel open drains emptying carbs then close drains tap the float bowls with the plastic end of a screw driver and then turn on fuel to flush the needle and seat. repeat if necessary.
like what was said count turns going in on idle adjuster then take out and blow air into it. as a last resort u can spray carb cleaner in the idle adjust hole.:)
if all fails buy the carb kit:(

I'm guessing that you don't ride this bike frequently so the carbs are likely gummed up a bit from the crappy ethanol gas? When you take the carbs apart be careful with the rubber diaphragms as they are delicate and expensive and a nick or tear means replacement. Good chance they just need a cleaning. The idle mixture adjusting screw which is located underneath near the float bowl will be covered by a metal shield which can be pried off. When seating the mixture screws do it lightly so as not to damage the taper. Here is some interesting reading on the old T300 bikes. Lots of carb and jetting info. It is mostly about Mikuni carbs but your Keihins are similar.

If it sat with ethanol in it for very long, those diaphragms are likely shot already.
