I haven't yet put sufficent miles on my 06 Classic to find out for myself if its reputation for not being the most comfortable seat in the world is justified, but like to know ahead of time what my options are.

The main non OEM alternative seat choice seems to be between Corbin and Airhawk.

Has anyone taken a different route and had their original seat refoamed and/or gel inserts installed by the likes of Sargents or similar outfits?

Any info gratefully received

PS I'm 6' 3" and 240lbs

Won't the Classic III Tourer seat fit? It's the most comfortable seat I've had in over 40 years of biking, stock or custom. Or maybe at my age by butt is just numb?

I had someone do for me what the others did for themselfs. WWW.RobertiCustoms.com. He dished the pillion out and covered the whole seat in 1/4" neoprene, helped alot. The whole cost was $150 including shipping both ways. He was able to put the stock cover back on. He also does custom covers as well. Check him out, he is based in Houston Tx.
