I struggled with the look of the rear plate holder and fender, especially with my bags. Did a custom fender that mounts to the bags, with integrated turn signals.
The engineer in me also struggled with 5lbs of unsprung weight cantilevered off the back of the swing arm.
This is what I came up with. Made of fiberglass, over a foam mold (with a LOT of sanding and finishing). Spent a lot of time on the paint to get it to match the leather bags.
Custom Bags
Just sharing my attempt at bags (panniers). For a lot of reasons, I hate the triumph bags. I have a decent shop, including a TIG welder, so this might not be a solution for everyone. Appearance is subjective, so even though I love how these turned out, you might hate them. My objectives...
