Just sharing my attempt at bags (panniers). For a lot of reasons, I hate the triumph bags. I have a decent shop, including a TIG welder, so this might not be a solution for everyone. Appearance is subjective, so even though I love how these turned out, you might hate them. My objectives...

I struggled with the look of the rear plate holder and fender, especially with my bags.

The engineer in me also struggled with 5lbs of unsprung weight cantilevered off the back of the swing arm.

This is what I came up with. Did a custom fender that mounts to the bags, with integrated turn signals. Made of fiberglass, over a foam mold (with a LOT of sanding and finishing). Spent a lot of time on the paint to get it to match the leather bags.

That is an outstanding job bcar00. I really like the clean professional look of it. I see the integrated turn signals and can't help but be impressed with your work. Is the license plate illuminated at night by any hidden lights I don't see? Also a video of the turn signals would be cool just to see what they look like. Once again, fantastic job.

Yeah, plate holder has LEDs. No idea how to post a video, but here's a screen shot. Turn signal LEDs are truck marker lights, so super bright
