I had a Speed Triple for a while. I've always thought of the new Rockets as Speed Triples on steroids. The 3GT will let you just cruise when you want to- very tame, until you pull on her ears, whereas the speed triple always wants you to get on it.

You're going to love it- guaranteed!

Just bought a new 2024 Rocket 3 GT having it shipped, and I've never seen one in the flesh! I've rode the speed triple AND F-ing loved it!!. Said whet the hell be a Rocket man. So So stoked!!

Not crazy buying the motorcycle. It is a little crazy the feeling you get in 2nd and 3rd gear when you get to the sweet spot of the torque curve. Hard to describe with words but its it's a little like Star Wars when the Millennium Falcon hits warp drive.

I bought an S3 while owning the R3 and while the power on that 1050 between 7-9000 rpm might be the quickest, the all around power any gear any rpm of the R3 had the S3 collecting dust.

Many years ago, the late Barry Sheene took his works Suzuki RG500 to an RAF base for some promotional photos etc. One of the pilots also did a bit of production racing, so Suzuki let him take the RG up the runway.
I’ll never forget the pilots description of riding it…..he equated it to flying a DHC Chipmunk with a Lightening Jet engine bolted on! ie mental!
