Aloha, all---
A longtime R3 fan here, now an official owner of a red R3 ("Red Rocket"?) owner!
Quick specs: I am the third owner...prior owner is a USN submariner with a 2nd child on the way and a "need to slow down now." 17K well taken care of miles, all stock except I think the shocks are 1" shorter but have not measured them yet. One thing's for sure, you don't see many R3's AT ALL here...the one I bought is the first one I'd seen in two years. If you've ever been here our roads are smaller, parking spaces smaller, etc., so of COURSE it made sense to get one of these, right?
I also have a hardtail jockey-shifted/foot-clutched/clean handlebars Harley with a 21" spool front/no front brake, the throttle moved to the left hand side, and a direct-mounted mechanical plunger on the starter. I took my son from Southern CA to Washington DC on a four week road trip when he was just 11 on this bike, so its sentimental value is why I keep it.
Looking forward to putting some miles on the R3 and soaking up the knowledge & wisdom on this board!
Mahalo Nui Loa!
