Allen Head Hex Socket Size?

When I bought my '06 Classic a few years ago the first thing I needed was a new front tire. I removed the wheel axle("spindle") to remove the wheel but I'll be darned if I can remember what I used on the axle or where it is now. Measuring flat to flat(is that right or should it be corner to corner?)my handy dandy furniture store free cloth type tape measure, which is in inches on one side and mm's on the other, says 19mm to my one good eye. Is that right?

I am going to have a Michelin Road 5 rear tire installed with tread running backwards on the front wheel per 1olbull's recommendation which I read about a year or two ago. I know, sounds nutty to me too.

You may have used a spark plug socket backwards, or a bolt with the correct sized head and a couple of nuts locked together.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about the spark plug socket. I can't find a single one. Tools are like socks, they always go missing in action eventually.

Well, I took another deep dive into my tool drawers and this time it occurred to me that the spark plug sockets are inside my 3/8" and 1/2' socket wrench boxes which I bought over 60 years ago at a K mart in Boulder, Colorado when I was in high school. Sure enough the bases of all three sockets fit perfectly in the spindle. However I still couldn't find anything to fit inside the socket end to crank on the suckers. So, not believing I didn't buy a full set of Allen head hex sockets both SAE and metric sometime in the recent decade or two I kept digging and I FOUND THEM! Pictures attached. The largest metric is a 19mm and it fits perfectly.
