I'd like to see how you did that

I tried the bottom shroud bolts but ended up cracking the plastic. Now I have them on the crash bars using rubberized p-clamps.

Will i did mine the same as tdragger ...they have been there for 3 years and the only problem i have is the light glass needs replacing due to it being very low .

Thanks for that. I was thinking that the lower rad shroud bolt and plastics wouldn't be a best place; due to the brittleness of the shroud (cracking as TD alluded). I am going to take another look at that location though.... just to see.

I have a remaining pair of these that I want to mount; however I have the wrong color (black) and in hindsight should have requested a silver finish; via Mrs Santa Klaus.





Want to install them on my Rivco highway (crash) bars and need to get an appropriate clamp. I do like the idea of a triangle of lights presented for opposing/cross traffic; is rumored to be a a good frontal visual as you are approaching. Not only that, but throw my headlight modulators into the visual and you get a very noticeable Rocket presence approaching

The triangle of light is the best way to go if your primary concern is being seen. With the EB kit, my headlights are sufficiently bright for nighttime riding so my primary concern is being seen.

Note: If you fit driving lights, check you state's inspection laws. I was warned that my next inspection would be denied if I did not fit a relay or device to automatically turn off the driving lights when the high beams are on.

For mounting, I bought some red anodized 1.25" rubberized p-clamps off of fleabay. They fit perfect on the crash bars.

We don't have a motorcycle safety inspection here in Maryland (one of the few remaining freedoms left in this state). If I did have to get the bikes inspected annually, I'd just remove the offending objects of liberal state government disapproval; prior to bringing it in.

That is the exact opposite of OZ. Driving lights, which are for distance, can be on only when high beam is on. Fog lights cannot be on with high beam, only with low beam or with the headlights off.

A good set of driving lights can light up the wombats in the trees a half mile down the road. Most of the driving lights that I have seen over here give a spread of light. My Triumph ones are pointing a bit sideways to light up the deer off the road.

I agree. It doesn't make much sense to me why your driving lights have to go off when you want to see more ahead. But that's what the nanny state of Virginia requires.

If you notice, the lights on an HD bagger will also go out when the high beams are selected. My Tahoe lights also go off.

But since 95% of my driving is daytime suburban traffic, I'm on low beams most of the time. The driving lights serve their purpose of position/recognition lights.

Interesting. Mounted to the bottom of the triple tree? Don't think wheel/fender articulation would affect that. How did you attach it?

Exact same place I had them on my VTX. I put all my weight, and it is considerable, on the front and they don't come close to the fender. As long as I limit my off-roading I think I'll be fine.;-)

They are mounted with an extra pair of wind-shield mounts I ended up with. I'll post a close up later.

Here's the close up. It's mounted with a windshield bracket which is perfect for this job. I put the two spring washers between the clamp clamp halves so that I could get it tight without applying pressure to the fork tube.

I will be cleaning the rust off before I hit the road
