Looks like the incompetent marketing at Triumph did it again. Is the R3T ABS or not? The 2012 says yes, but the specs say no. If you drift over to the Triumph website, the Roadster for 2011 and 2012 has NO ABS, but the R3T for both 2011 and 2012 DOES HAVE ABS. We all know the R3T 2011 does not. I have been waiting for ABS since my 2008 R3t High-sided me when a car stopped in front of me. The rear locks up way to fast. This is the second year they have done this. I thought the Brits were smarter than this.

You can fix that by putting a little air into the fluid line. You might get the pedal to bottom and the tire won't lock.

Seriously, the ABS is a good option if you're prone to Survival Reactions (See Kieth Code's "Twist of the Wrist"). You should ask the dealer if you can get it as an option.

Every ad I read before buying 2011 Tourer said it had ABS. I have to tell ya it was a bad surprise the day I had to panic stop and had the back tire lock up putting me into a nasty slide that made my arse pucker. Called the dealer to report the problem with the ABS just to be told the bike did not have it. Hell of way to find out.

Man, when I read the title I thought you were asking abdominals or not and at 55, it's NOT for me. :D I rode the R3T with ABS and it's OK but I can do without it unless my insurance comapny will give me DEEP discounts.

My pecs have slid, my abs exploded into a tool shed, and my arse hath disappeared. Old age ain't what it ought to be.:( It's a good thing I have other skill sets ;).

Don't have ABS on my rocket but when I first got my rocket if they told me to call A$$ I had to make two trips  but now I'm down to one trip I believe I had just soon have foot and hand control I guess I'm old school but running dark side you seem to slide straight anyway

I thought about the Dark side. I put one on a Wing I just sold and liked it pretty good. Does the Car tire help prevent rear lockup? I was running the Kuhmo Run Flat.

I don't need ABS. I came off of an 07 Harley bagger without ABS. You learn real quick about the rear brake. If you read any rider training or advice, it will always say to apply the front brake first! Never the rear. I only use the rear for shedding speed in the corners. I apply very little pressure to the rear when I stop.

Now on my old 05 ST1300 with linked brakes, well hell, who needs ABS!

Since putting on the Altimax HP, the grip has greatly improved on mine, of course the Avon Venom was not a problem either.:D

So you were riding your bike thinking it had ABS and it didn't? you didn't check the manual? or ask the dealer? or look at the front of the bike?
