? about cat bypass

Hey Guys, I purchased the Triumph Cat Bypass and it came in a light gray primer looking color. Do I need to paint it with some heat resistant paint or something. I know it is hidden behind the engine, but gray. I thought it would come in black.

I just looked at mine. After 3 years, I can't tell what the original finish was. Definitely not chrome. I doubt painting it is necessary. Also, I have never seen it without crawling under the bike. Keep the bike from tipping over and you should be OK.

It could be black.....Get a rattle can of Barbeque Paint and paint it. Make sure the bike don't fall over when you are under there looking at it. Could make for a bad day.

Chrome it...that way if the bike falls over, you're covered.

Its stainless steel, dont worry about it....
