Well, Polaris industries/Victory Motorcycles unveiled the newest addition to their lineup and to me it appears to substantially be the Indian Scout dressed up in a Victory package. Is Polaris doing what our old Big Three automaker's have done for years, i.e., package the same car with slightly differentiated cosmetics and trimmings and sell them under quasi-independent, competing lines? Think Pontiac LeMans, Buick Regal, Chevrolet Malibu and Oldsmobile Cutlass back in the sixties and seventies. They all had other lower end and high performance end variants, such as in the GTO, Buick's Gran Sport, the Chevy Malibu SS and Olds' 442, to boot.

Zzz, zzz, zzz; Here's their big reveal... 2017 Victory Octane Motorcycle : Features

... and a preliminary critical assessment: Victory Octane - EXCLUSIVE FIRST RIDE

For my money, at first blush and after test-riding the Scout last weekend (decent motor but underwhelming overall execution), I'm inclined to lean toward either of Triumph's new offerings in this range, i.e., the Thruxtons or Bonnevilles look to be the potential winners in this class, though that remains to be seen. I'll be more certain on a more personal level after having a chance to exercise either one or both of the new Trumpets, though.

NICE BIKES. To bad the college educated engineers $ucked it up again. Polaris needs to get out of the two wheels and stick to the three or four wheels.

TOO LITTLE TOO LATE SHEEP is correct after all the fuss this is the World Beater what a letdown BOO go back and start over and dont come back till you create something substantial this was a waste of time and its ugly too boot YUCK I like the new THRUXTON thats a cool looking bike

Look at the movie industry it's mostly all remakes of old films, no one wants to take a chance on new ideas it all has to be based on a sure thing. How many Star War movies can you watch before you had enough..... Polaris/Victory in my neck of the woods also sold Triumphs so I'll give them a three star rating....***

HMMM so we are now hanging our hopes on a classier couple of anti TRUMP protesters oh well they are probably the cream of the crop is that the best they can dodo on the left

YOU KNOW VICTORY needs to make a big change their bikes arent lookin to good lately and they need new power plants those air oil cooled engines are old news now and This Octane model is a big letdown after all the advertising and only 104 HP ?

@IMFASTTOO have you and Bob looked into opening up the new Bonnies like what was done for the last crop? I know it is pretty soon to be messing with them but I am sure someone will want it someday...

Just got back from Florida Sunday stopped in Daytona on the way to the keys and saw these on the boardwalk for sale! Had to take a picture!!

I'm really liking the Indian Roadmaster! It would be a great addition to the stable, but I have a hard time getting past the $30,000+ sticker on it.
