a roadworthy classic apparently

anyone recognize the year of this bike? my brother claims he saw it parked outside of his workplace. but i'm a little suspicious because i don't see a sticker or plate anywhere! a hexagonal oil tank? no tail pipe? really?

My best guess is a '66 Bonnie with a bolt on hard tail and pricey ARD magneto ignition. WIth that ignition, it shouldn't even need the battery stuffed behind the motor. The bike looks rather ratty, but the motor looks pretty clean and I bet it runs just fine.. It sure doesn't look legal at all.. , but all it would need is a tail/brake light and license plate light.. which may be hanging off the left side.. and maybe a horn.. not too many bits missing to be on the road.. depending on what state laws are..

I myself could not stand to ride it looking like that for very long.. lol

That's what we called (back in the day) a hog wheel and tire. A Harley "HOG" wheel laced to a stock hub so you could use a wide 16" tire.
