A Brief Unequal Contest

Agree the rider and road makes huge difference! Straight shot and good rider, though, I've found I can stay in front of the GXR until the end of third gear, but that's where it ends. That's just friendly sunday riding with a good friend and both of us pushing!

I try not to pick any fights. But I do even better at thinking my way out of the one's i can't win

None I've been on. It has enough weight to keep the front end down and the rear wheel from spinning.

This one might stand a chance too. 2,100cc's, billet engine, forged Mahle pistons, 264 Duration .625" Lift cams, Compression: 10.2:1, a Mikuni HSR pumper carb with a velocity stack and a 2 into one header. It's got a Primo 3" belt drive, a 6 speed transmission, a Pingel electric shifter with an adjustable ignition cutout, and a 260 Metzeler gets it hooked up. That would be a more suitable matchup for the Rocket. Goes pretty good. For some reason the Rocket still feels faster to me. The kicker? My 1984 bone stock factory 750 turbo is right up there with them.

The real kicker? I bought this ZRX specifically as a turbo project. When I do, it will smoke all of my bikes including the Rocket, still handle and stop great, ride great and has a nice upright seating position. Not to mention, it will end up costing less than the front end and wheels on my prostreet bike.

(it will beat a Sportster too)

All that being said, the bikes I ride the most, by far, are my streetfighter CBX because it's smooth, handles great and I love the sound, and the Rocket because I LOVE the torque.
